![]() ![]() "I believe that you of all people deserve to know who I truly am." I groaned when his pressure became bone breaking. My body could barely move and my chest was starting to tighten. He was strong I admit, so strong that I started to feel air leaving my lungs. "I beg the differ my dear." I gasped when I felt two pair strong arms circle around my body, holding me in their tight embrace. Noctis is the only chosen one as it is been foretold. "Damn you, Ardyn! You shall never become King. "You would be excellent as my royal Lieutenant once I achieve the throne." Another slice to my right. "It would be such waste killing you." I sliced my left side, but missed him by a hair. To my surprise he disappeared again and I tightened my hold on the hilt of my blade. The Chancellor took a few steps forward and I readied the Katana to strike the moment he initiates. "I wonder if I got better at disguising or did he just let his guard down?" However, when I used Noctis as disguise, he fell for it." He sent four pairs of glowing red swords, summoned just as the members with the power of the Lucii could, toward me. In addition, he kept fueling my flames of hatred and rage by throwing cruel and bitter taunts and insults. Perhaps it was not the wisest choice I made, due to my lack of knowledge about his fighting skills, but wrath took the best of me. Without hesitation, I had charge blindly at him, using every strength, weapon and magic I had in my disposal. His feature kept turning from human to daemon, struggling to keep his internal excitement and joy in check for seeing my pained and grieved expression. He was standing right in front of me with that smug, sinister face. I did not need to think for too long or search for the criminal who caused a man with such resolve and strength such fatal fate. When I arrived, Ravus' battered and lifeless body was the first sight that welcomed me so horrendously. My yell echoed in the lower floors of the Zegnautus Keep. "What a waste risking your life for those pitiful humans you call friends." The title is taken from one of the poems written by William Blake (Shepherd, 1887). ![]() AN: This story contains heavy spoilers from Final Fantasy XV Ardyn's Episode. ![]()
